Reporting Players to the Ontario Soccer Govern Module (PowerUp Clubs)

Modified on Tue, 28 Oct at 3:03 PM

NOTE: The below content is only for those clubs who currently use PowerUp as their registration software. Importing of players, team staff and teams for clubs NOT using PowerUp is completed via the Import tool. For help with this, please see the Importing (Uploading) Players and Team Staff (Non-PowerUp Clubs) article instead.

As a PowerUp Sports club, the architecture for you to be able to report your registrants up to your District and Ontario Soccer is largely already in place. With just a few clicks, you’ll be able to complete the configuration so the required data can flow up to the district and provincial governing bodies.

Below are the steps you’ll need to follow. If you have questions or need some assistance with any of the below, please feel free to reach out to the support team here at PowerUp Sports and we’d be happy to assist you.

Connecting Your Product to the Governing Body Season

As an Ontario Soccer club on PowerUp, you’ll notice a new configuration setting on the Product Admin page: a dropdown called the “Governing Body Season.” This dropdown allows you to connect the pipeline for your registrants to be reported up to the Ontario Soccer season.

QUICK TIP: You can complete this configuration while setting up your product, or do so at a later date if you wish.

To connect your product to the governing body season, while logged into the Member Zone as an administrator:

  1. Navigate to Tools >> Products
  2. Click Edit Product next to the product you wish to connect to a governing body season
  3. On the General tab, you’ll see the new Governing Body Season dropdown (shown in the screenshot above). Use the dropdown to select the season to which registrants in this product need to be registered in the Ontario Soccer Govern module.
    • E.g. P-2026 OUTDOOR
  4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  5. A pop-up will appear, informing you that you also need to classify your SKUs. Click Continue.

Classifying Your SKUs

With the product now connected to the season, the final step to establish the pipeline that will allow your registrants to flow into the Ontario Soccer Govern module is at the SKU level.

To classify your SKUs, while logged into the Member Zone as an administrator:

  1. Navigate to Tools >> Products

  2. Click Edit Product next to the product you wish to connect to a governing body season

  3. Use the Edit a SKU dropdown to select the SKU you wish to classify

  4. You’ll see a new tab named GOV; click it to open some settings for the SKU.

  5. Use the available dropdowns to correctly set the Governing Body Age Group and Governing Body Level for the registrants in that SKU.

    1. For example:

      1. A U8 Girls House League SKU would be configured with:
        P-U8G - Grassroots

      2. A U16 Girls OPDL SKU would be configured with:
        P-U16G - Youth Competitive

  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page to save your selections.

  7. A pop-up will appear, asking you to confirm the sync. Click Continue and Enable Sync.

  8. Repeat the above steps for any other SKUs as needed.

All registrants in that SKU will now be reported to your governing bodies.

QUICK TIPS:
Any players already registered in that SKU will be reported upon saving your selections. New registrants from that point on will be automatically reported. That is to say: you do not need to repeat this process again for this SKU!

Don't have any teams you need to submit for District approval? Then you're done! You do not need to do anything else to report your players to your governing bodies.
